Cone mill is widely used for sizing of granules, Homogenization. Deagglomeration of agglomerates. For Improving flow characteristics & for Granulating roller compacted material, Post mixing & post fluid bed drying.

Cone mill is used for milling wet and dry granules using a conical sieve. I is used to downsize wet/dry granules using a angular beater and a conical sieve. It is mounted on a S.S. pipe tubular stand with four castor wheels at the bottom. The cone mill can be moved from one place to another very easily. There is a conical sieve of the required mesh size and an angular beater which is rotating within close clearance with the sieve. The angular beater can be removed for cleaning along with the sieve from the top very easily. Angular beater can be raised or lowered using a knob so the distance between the beater and the sieve can be varied depending upon the requirement.

Designed for efficient and homogeneous mixing of dry and wet powders. Newly designed stuffing box prevents contamination. Sliding type covers with protective grill and safety devices are provided. Trough tilts forward for discharge of materials either manually or by motorised arrangement.


Made in two types of agitators: PADDLE TYPE & RIBBON TYPE

• Paddle type: suitable for wet, tough dough mixing, as well as dry powder mixing.

The machine is primarily suitable for mixing or lubricating of dry, freely flowing powders or granules. The machine has been designed for use in a pharmaceutical formulation manufacturing unit, keeping in mind the latest GMP rules.


The machine can be broadly divided in three parts viz.; main mixing vessel, stand or support structure and drive. The vessel is mounted on the stand on two pillow block ball bearings on each side. Drive, consisting of motor, gearbox etc. is also mounted on the stand.


Powders or granules that are to be mixed are loaded in the vessel. Vessel rotates around its central shaft, driven by the drive system. As the vessel rotates, powders start flowing due to gravitational force. Because of the conical shape of vessel, mass of flowing powders contract and expand continuously, achieving desired mixing or blending. Baffles attached to the central shaft obstruct the flow of powders generating cross flows that assist in quicker blending.

The OCTAGONAL BLENDER is an efficient and versatile blending machine for mixing and lubrication process of dry granules homogeneously. Two third of the volume of the Cone Blender is filled to ensure proper mixing. The Octagonal Blender gives best result for granules due to very slow speed and octagon shape of container.


It can be used for Pharmaceutical, Food, Chemical and Cosmetic products etc.


In Octagonal Blender the granules comes from all sides due to the octagonal shape of the product container, hence requirement of RPM is less, Suitable mainly for Crystalline & Granular type material. This type of material gets sufficient continuous movement due to their shape if container has only slow movement and hence will result in good quality of blending / lubrication of granules.
